Wuthering Heights AUTHOR: Emily Bronte was born in Thornton, Yorkshire in 1818. She was the fifth of 6 children. Her father, Patrick Bronte, was an imaginative and intelligent man of Irish line who was ordained into the Church of England in 1806.
