Send Boat People Straight venture

The go forth of refugees had one that has been procrastinating in the headlines for some time. The community is split on whether or not it is Australias responsibility to address the growing shorten of allowing refugees into our country. most say we should simply enthrall them back, others argue that it is our honourable responsibility as a community to care for asylum seekers. However, regardless of how strong the cases put forward are, one things for sure, unless we settle to some sort of country agreement, the problem of refugees will take place to remain strong.

In the text, Send Boat people Straight Back, we see the writer, John Vaughan, clearly state his spot on the refugee issue. He believes that we, as a society, should be able to send refugees back home, ensuring that money allocated to this problem is better spent in areas concerned with the people of Australia.

This was a concise and well written abbreviation on a topic that I feel implausibly strongly about.

It is a very sad indictment on our society that such a large proportion of Australians in reality agree with the mindless concept of sending refugees back where they came from. The issue is a complex one and has been oversimplified by the current government who lose successfully used the same sort of scaremongering and emotive language that you talk about in your review of John Vaughans book.

I would really have been interested to hear views on the issue and how they relate to the book. I am hopeful that views such as Vaughans are losing support as the majority of asylum seekers remove our compassion rather than our negative and often ignorant judgements of them.

give thanks you for raising an interesting topic!
