DUANE MICHALS Duane Michals was born on February 18, 1932, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. His parents were of Czechoslovakian origin. Wishing to Americanize the original family name Mihal, his parents had it changed to Michals. My convey was anxious to assimilate.
